We collect only what we need to sell you products and run the store: your account details, your orders, and a few cookies that keep the site working. We never see or store your card number, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. Ever. This website is for adults of legal age only; it is not intended for minors.

Vape Ave (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a vape retailer at Emerald Park, Unit 154, 4750 Yonge Street, 2nd Floor, North York ON M2N 5M6, Canada. This policy covers the vapeave.ca website and purchases made through it or in store. We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws.

Account information. If you create an account: your name, email address, a password (stored only in protected, hashed form; we cannot read it), and any billing or shipping addresses you choose to save. We use this to sign you in, prefill checkout, and show you your order history.

Order information. When you place an order: the items ordered, prices and taxes, your name, contact details, the delivery or pickup choice, and the delivery address if shipping. We use this to fulfil the order, provide receipts, and meet our bookkeeping and tax obligations.

Age confirmation. Because vaping products are age restricted, you must confirm you are of legal age in your province before using this site. We store only the fact that you confirmed, in a browser cookie on your device. We do not store your birthdate.

Messages you send us. If you contact us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to help you.

We do not collect information we do not need, and we do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first.

We send transactional email only: order confirmations, receipts, and messages about your account or an order in progress. We do not send marketing or promotional email unless you have expressly consented to receive it, and any such email would include a working unsubscribe, as required by Canada’s anti-spam legislation.

We never see or store your card number. Card payments are handled by our payment processor on secure payment forms; what we receive back is confirmation that a payment succeeded, not your card details. Orders placed for in-store payment are simply paid at the counter.

This site uses a small, functional set. No advertising cookies.

• Age confirmation cookie – remembers that you confirmed you are of legal age, for the duration you choose on the age screen (1 or 30 days).
• Sign-in cookie – a secure, tamper-protected cookie that keeps you logged into your account for up to 30 days. It is not readable by scripts in your browser.
• Cart storage – your cart lives in your own browser’s local storage until you check out. It never leaves your device until you place the order.
• Checkout session cookies – standard e-commerce cookies that hold your cart and session during checkout and payment.

You can clear any of these through your browser settings at any time; the site will simply treat you as a new visitor.

Only the services required to run the store, and only what each one needs:

• Our hosting providers, which store the website and its order database on servers protected by access controls.
• Our payment processor, to process card payments you initiate.
• The shipping carrier, which receives your name, address, and phone number to deliver your order and to verify age on delivery.
• Google, only in that pages showing our location embed a Google map, and the checkout page loads a font from Google; those requests are subject to Google’s own privacy policy.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We would disclose information beyond the above only if required by law.

Order records are kept as long as required for business, accounting, and tax purposes. Account information is kept while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove the personal information we are not legally required to retain.

You can view and update your name and saved addresses anytime from your account page, and change your password there too. You may also ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to the records we must keep by law. The site runs over encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are stored only in hashed form, sign-in cookies are tamper-protected, and access to order data is restricted to the people who need it to run the store. No system is perfectly secure, but we deliberately keep the amount of personal data we hold small: the less we store, the less there is to protect.

This website and our products are strictly intended for adults of legal age in their province. It is not directed at minors, and minors are not permitted to use this site, create an account, or purchase from us under any circumstances.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the legal age. Every visitor must confirm their age before entering the site, age is verified again with photo identification at delivery and at in-store pickup, and we cancel any order where the required age verification cannot be completed.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and its “last updated” date before the change takes effect.
